LCWC staff independently developed a safe, naturally-occurring biofungicide for
control of non-native Eurasian watermilfoil (Myriophyllum spicatum). The positive
mammalian toxicity profile and its scalability to production volumes make it a strong
candidate as a commercial competitor to chemical herbicides.
